Contract: 6 months, with strong potential to extend up to 12 months
About the Role
We're hiring a Social Listening Analyst to support a leading global technology client's Social Community & Escalation Operations team. You'll monitor millions of social mentions about YouTube and the client's other brands and turn that data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You'll step into existing dashboards and templates, and we welcome ideas to improve them.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and analyze high-volume social media conversations using social listening tools
- Write and refine Boolean queries to filter out noise such as spam, press releases, and retweets
- Produce insight reports and presentations (documents, slides, charts, graphs)
- Summarize and editorialize data, including key news stories, top creators, and emerging sentiment
- Deliver fast crisis and escalation reports when issues surface on social platforms (about 1-2 times per week)
- Collaborate with the team and manage ad hoc requests in a fast-paced environment
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven Boolean query writing skills (required)
- Hands-on experience with a major social listening platform: Brandwatch (preferred), Sprinklr, or Meltwater
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, executive-level summaries
- 1-3+ years of experience in social listening, social analytics, or social intelligence (senior candidates welcome if they're excited about hands-on work)
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations
Nice to Have
- Experience with Tubular or other YouTube analytics tools
- Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Excel
- Background at a social intelligence or analytics agency, or at a consumer brand or entertainment company
