Role Description
We’re seeking a creative, hands-on Social Media & Content Lead to guide strategy and create content across several distinct brands. You’ll work closely with the founder and teams to plan, shoot, edit, publish, and evaluate content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
You’ll develop ideas for each brand, capture education and behind-the-scenes moments, and plan and execute content for brand collaborations. We’re looking for someone who brings fresh ideas forward, spots opportunities in the moment, tests new approaches, and uses performance insights to keep improving the work.
This is an ongoing contract engagement with regular on-site content capture in Los Angeles County and Orange County, remote time for planning and editing, and occasional travel. The engagement requires availability Tuesday–Saturday, with flexibility to coordinate shoots, events, and time-sensitive content opportunities. Scope, deliverables, and fee will be agreed upon with the selected contractor; approved travel expenses will be covered separately.
Qualifications
- Experience creating and managing social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong skills in planning, filming, editing, and adapting content to each platform and brand.
- A track record of using performance insights to improve content and grow engagement.
- Experience producing content with founders, creators, beauty professionals, or brand partners is a plus.
- A proactive creative approach: you bring ideas forward, stay current with platform changes, and enjoy testing new formats.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to give and take direction, collaborate with different personalities, and respond well to feedback.
- Flexibility to plan ahead while adjusting to occasional schedule changes and timely content opportunities.
