✨ We're Hiring: Content Creator & Video Editor (Social Media)
At Posh Social Co., we get to do something that actually matters — we work alongside small businesses and startups whose owners have poured everything into building something from the ground up. Their brand is their dream, and we get to be a small but meaningful part of bringing it to life. That's not something we take lightly.
We're looking for someone who feels that too. Someone who understands what it means to work for and with a small business — the excitement of growth, the reality of setbacks, and the dedication it takes to show up for both. We're a growing team ourselves, and we need people who are invested not just in their own success, but in the success of their teammates, their clients, and the company as a whole.
If you're positive, solution-focused, and you genuinely care about the work you put out into the world — keep reading.
This role is for someone who is efficient, self-directed, and genuinely excited about making great content for a variety of brands. You'll be working inside a fast-moving agency environment where briefs are provided, expectations are clear, and execution is the job.
Role Description
This is a flexible, part-time or contract-based role (with potential to grow), focused on content creation and editing across multiple client accounts. You'll work closely with our strategist and account management team to execute content for Instagram and TikTok.
This is an execution-focused role — not client-facing strategy. You are given direction; your job is to bring it to life quickly and well.
What You'll Do
Content Creation
- Capture photo and video content during scheduled shoots
- Film short-form content (Reels, TikToks, etc.)
- Lead and maintain energy on set — you are expected to direct the shoot from a content perspective once the brief is in hand
- Adapt and find fresh angles across clients with ongoing, recurring content needs
Video Editing
- Edit short-form video content efficiently and independently
- Add captions, trending audio, and basic graphics
- Deliver polished content on schedule without requiring multiple rounds of revision
- Stay current on platform trends and apply them without being asked
Content Organization
- Upload and organize all content immediately after shoots
- Maintain clean file structures and shared folders without follow-up
Collaboration
- Work from shot lists and content direction provided by our strategist — briefs are your starting point, not a request for more clarification
- Communicate proactively if something is unclear before a shoot, not mid-execution
- Take feedback well and implement it without friction
Qualifications
- Must have proven, hands-on experience in social media content creation and video editing — this is not an entry-level role
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing short-form video content for brand accounts (not just personal)
- Strong, current understanding of Instagram and TikTok — you know what's working right now
- Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, or similar tools — must have hands-on Canva experience and be comfortable working within branded design assets and templates
- AI experience is preferred.
- Fast editor — you can turn around content without it becoming a time sink
- Comfortable shooting across a variety of brands and aesthetics, including clients with repetitive or evergreen messaging
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and self-managing
- Professional — you understand confidentiality, internal team dynamics, and how to represent a client on site
- Able to lead a shoot independently when needed; you don't wait to be told what to do next
- Open to process improvements and efficiency tools — we are always optimizing
Compensation
- Paid per client or per project (aligned with scope)
- Opportunity for consistent monthly work across multiple accounts
- Flexible schedule based on shoots and content needs
A Few Notes
- This is agency work — clients are ongoing, their results matter, and you'll be expected to care about both
- Workload varies by month; we need someone who can flex with it
- Ideal for someone who wants consistent freelance work with room to grow inside a real team structure
- Must have flexible weekend availability — in addition to content shoots, there are on-site event and wedding needs that require weekend presence
- Must be available during weekday business hours for shoots, coordination, and content delivery
- Must be based in Pittsburgh — ideally within 10 miles of Downtown Pittsburgh
- Must be willing to travel to the South Hills, Downtown Pittsburgh, North Hills, and surrounding areas for shoots and events
- Must provide and bring their own equipment — including camera, lighting, mini microphones, tripods, and any other gear needed to execute a shoot independently
- Must have an iPhone 16 or newer
- Must be able to pivot on the fly and work independently when plans change on site
- Outgoing, fun personality is a plus — our shoots are energetic and we want that to show up in the content
- Must have a strong eye for detail and an overall understanding of client strategy — you're executing, but you need to understand the why behind the content
To Apply
A portfolio is required to be considered for this role. Please send your portfolio, examples of brand content you've created or edited, and a quick note about your experience to: renee@poshsocial.co — applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
About Posh Social Co.
We're a boutique social media and creative agency working with brands across lifestyle, hospitality, and service-based industries.
We care about intentional content, strong creative direction, and building a team that is as invested in our clients' success as we are in our own.
We're looking for someone who fits — not just skillset-wise, but culturally. Someone with a positive, solution-based demeanor who values their own personal growth just as much as the growth of the people around them, the company, and above all, the clients we serve.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
