We're looking for a writer who can make a B2B software integration sound interesting on Monday, write an Instagram post about pearl jewelry on Tuesday, and be genuinely funny about food on Wednesday. Thursday is a website. Friday is a blog post nobody saw coming, including you.
If that sounds exhausting, this isn't your job. If it sounds like a good week, keep reading. (Really. There's a reason. You'll see.)
Who we are
Digital Marketing Partners is a boutique B2B digital marketing agency just north of Chicago. We run paid media, SEO, email, ABM, and creative for clients in ecommerce, food and beverage, automotive, healthcare technology, B2B SaaS, and more. We're small enough that your work goes straight to the client, not through six layers of approval, and busy enough that you'll never run out of things to write.
What you'll write
- B2B copy that's clear and persuasive, without the jargon
- Social copy that's fun and smart, sometimes in the same post
- Blogs and long-form content people actually finish
- Website copy, landing pages, and emails
- Ad copy, from headlines on up
- Just about anything else a client needs in words
You might be our person if
- You can switch voices without losing your own
- You like writing about things you knew nothing about yesterday
- You take edits well and push back when you're right
- You'd rather show us than tell us (see below)
- You have some experience doing this before
Where you'll work
Three days a week in our Northbrook office. Two days from home, a coffee shop, or wherever you do your best work.
How to apply (the part that matters)
LinkedIn only lets you submit a resume, so here's what we need: put a link to your writing samples at the top of your resume. Label it "Writing samples: I read the whole post."
We will read your samples. We'll also use that link to see who read this far. No link, no interview. That's not us being difficult, it's the first thing a good writer does: follow the brief.
P.S. Writing samples. Link. Top of your resume. We mean it.
