Freelance Associate Designer- Girls and Boys
Position Overview
Premium children's brand is seeking a freelance Associate Designer to support the design team in a fast-paced, apparel-focused environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, efficient designer with strong Adobe Illustrator skills and practical apparel design experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design team with apparel design, development, and production-ready artwork.
- Create and revise technical flats, line sheets, colorways, and presentation materials in Adobe Illustrator.
- Assist with seasonal product development from concept through final execution.
- Organize design files, artwork revisions, and product information accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to meet development timelines.
- Manage multiple priorities and complete design updates quickly in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of overall design experience, preferably within apparel.
- Demonstrated apparel design experience, including familiarity with garment construction and product development workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required.
- Ability to work quickly, take direction, and produce accurate work under tight timelines.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively in an in-office setting.
Work Arrangement: This freelance role requires in-office availability Monday through Thursday for approximately 32 hours per week.
