About The Role
Our firm is partnering with a leading national retailer to hire a Creative Brand Designer who will support an internal design consulting team focused on enterprise-wide creative initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from executive presentations and branded communications to physical retail experiences, product displays, exhibits, and immersive environments.
The ideal candidate is a versatile designer who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and can bring creative concepts to life through strong visual storytelling, brand design, editorial design, and exhibit design.
Job Description
As a Designer, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams to create compelling visual communications and physical brand experiences. You will contribute throughout the entire design process, from research and concept development through execution and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and design solutions for presentations, exhibits, retail experiences, signage, and branded communications.
- Create editorial, graphic, and exhibit design assets that effectively communicate ideas and business strategies.
- Translate complex concepts into engaging visual stories through infographics, presentations, and immersive experiences.
- Conduct research, trend analysis, mood board creation, and concept exploration to inform design direction.
- Develop product mockups, prototypes, technical specifications, and design guidelines.
- Execute designs within established brand standards while also contributing to the evolution of visual systems and brand expressions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to gather feedback and refine creative solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Support physical design production, including printing, mounting, cutting materials, installing signage, assembling displays, and assisting with exhibit setup.
- Utilize Generative AI tools and emerging design technologies to enhance creative workflows and output quality.
- Ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in editorial design, graphic design, visual communications, or a related creative discipline.
- Experience as a Brand Designer and Creative Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating a broad range of design work.

- Proficiency with Generative AI solutions and emerging design technologies.
- Strong visual communication, storytelling, and presentation-building skills.
- Experience designing within established brand guidelines while developing innovative visual concepts.
- Excellent project management, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in cross-functional environments.
- Comfortable performing physical design and installation tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with exhibit installations, ladders, displays, fixtures, and signage.
- Ability to work on-site a minimum of four days per week (Monday through Thursday) in the Minneapolis area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 2D Animation.
- Graphic and video editing expertise.
- Product design experience.
- Experience creating immersive environments and experiential design solutions.
- Experience utilizing advanced AI-enhanced creative workflows.
- Background in retail, consumer products, experiential marketing, or branded environments.
- Experience working with executive-level presentations and visual communications.
