The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing the Mount Sinai Health System’s social media strategy for nursing, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The successful candidate will work closely with key members of the Social Media Department to learn about social media in health care and nursing. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence.
PART-TIME, FREELANCE POSITION: September to December 2024
15 hours per week/ $20 per hour
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Create and manage content for all nursing initiatives
2. Work with Mount Sinai Health System’s Chief Nursing Executive, the Executive Nursing Cabinet, and nurses to obtain and promote nursing initiatives on social media platforms
3. Work with the Social Media Department on graphic design and video content
4. Identify and follow health industry trends that can be tied into promotion of key Mount Sinai nursing initiatives
5. Manage and actively follow social media and other digital marketing methods
6. Integrate new ideas and methods into the company's approaches
7. Participate in the development of strategies designed to meet company goals
8. Stay abreast of and report on trends and best practices
9. Measure the impact of social media marketing efforts, developing reports and implementing strategies and tactics for improving results
10. Provide on-site social media live nursing event coverage across the Mount Sinai Health System
Education Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Requirements
1. 2+ years working in social media marketing, preferably in a health care setting
2. In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest
3. In-depth working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut
4. Experience with social listening, measurement, and analytics
