Ready to swap the Slack thread for high-energy whiteboard sessions that shape future product lines of your favorite vacation rental marketplace? We need an SF-based, staff-level content designer who can see the big picture, contextualize their work, and use storytelling to turn raw visions into compelling, tangible concepts. You'll be the strategic pen that gives shape to future experiences. Join (in person at times) a nimble, collaborative squad led by the company’s Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and a company that is committed to designing new ways to explore the world.
The Details- Contract Type: 1099, hybrid role (SF Bay Area, 1–2 days per week in-office)
- Duration: 6-month term to start
- Capacity: 30–40 hours per week

What You’ll Do- Bring Ideas to Life: Partner with the CXO, product VPs, and other executive leaders to co-create early-stage product identities and content design frameworks.
- Storytell the Future: Use language to explore, iterate, and communicate product concepts under pursuit, illustrating how abstract ideas will realistically feel in a user-centric ecosystem.
- Create a Product Identity: Take charge of defining nomenclatures, taxonomies, and naming conventions for zero-to-one product features, giving them a clear identity from the start.
- Work Scrappily: Bridge the gap between blue-sky concepts and technical reality, designing with a deep understanding of engineering constraints.
- Present & Influence: Confidently present your ideas, copy directions, and conceptual frameworks directly to senior execs.
- In-Person Collaboration: Come into the SF office to actively jam, brainstorm, and iterate face-to-face with design and product leadership.
We’re Looking for Someone with:- 10+ Years of Craft: Extensive history in content design and product writing, with a strong focus on zero-to-one product development, innovation, or conceptual design.
- Executive Presence: Total comfort presenting complex ideas to senior executives and guiding discussions with VPs and leadership.
- The "Feedback Loop" Mindset: Exceptional ability to both give and take direct, constructive feedback in real-time creative sessions.
- San Francisco Presence: Must be SF-based and be flexible to coming into the office 1–2 days a week.
- Portfolio: Please share a portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual product thinking, naming, or zero-to-one product journeys.
