We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support large-scale content conversion and migration initiatives. This is a high-volume, execution-focused role that requires exceptional organization, accuracy, and consistency.
You will work across member-facing help content and internal knowledge resources, applying established content standards, style guidelines, and formatting requirements while helping improve content accessibility and usability. You will also leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate content conversion and migration efforts, serving as the final quality reviewer to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities
- Convert process workflows from a decision-tree format into clear, structured wiki documentation while maintaining logical accuracy.
- Review and quality-check content migrated into a new CMS, validating formatting, metadata, links, and overall content integrity.
- Perform manual content migration when needed, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Organize content within libraries and folders to improve discoverability, governance, and reuse.
- Develop reusable content components, templates, and modules to streamline future content updates.
- Apply established style, voice, and formatting standards consistently across all content.
- Utilize AI and generative tools to support content conversion and QA activities, while maintaining ownership of final quality.
- Collaborate with content strategists and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve questions regarding content accuracy, structure, and scope.
- Exercise sound judgment when handling complex or non-standard content and provide recommendations for future content management approaches.
- Track project milestones, monitor progress, and proactively identify risks or blockers.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, help and support content, content operations, or knowledge management.
- Hands-on experience working within content management systems (CMS).
- Experience executing established content strategies and maintaining consistency across large volumes of content.
- Familiarity with reusable content structures, templates, modular content, or content component management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-review work for accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs, for content creation and collaboration.
- Experience incorporating generative AI or LLM tools into content workflows, with strong judgment regarding quality control.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Portfolio, writing samples, editing samples, or other examples of relevant work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience converting decision trees, flowcharts, or procedural processes into written documentation.
- Experience supporting content migration, replatforming, or large-scale CMS implementation projects.
- Familiarity with regulated industries or highly structured support environments.
