Compensation Range: $45-50/HR
We are seeking a self-starting, experienced Designer to create compelling, product-forward content across our client's site and app. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in graphic design, visual storytelling, and ecommerce creative, with a sharp eye for composition, typography, product presentation, scale, lighting, and overall craft.
Note: If local to San Bruno, the onsite expectation is 3 days per week. If local to LA, candidates must be commutable on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on designing and creating product imagery through a combination of AI and traditional design techniques, bringing seasonal and campaign direction to life across site modules and templates.
- Work hands-on across AI image generation, image compositing, retouching, graphic design, and Figma, using the right combination of tools and techniques to create polished, customer-first imagery.
- Help develop and populate scalable templates and systems that enable creative to adapt efficiently across site and app placements.
- Translate established creative direction into a high volume of cohesive digital assets while maintaining quality and consistency across the customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in graphic or digital design.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong visual craft, composition, image making, and digital campaign execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, particularly Photoshop and tools used for image compositing, retouching, and digital design.
- Strong understanding of product-focused imagery and ecommerce design, with the ability to create compositions that clearly and accurately showcase products.
- Experience translating seasonal, campaign, and brand creative direction into cohesive digital assets across multiple placements and formats.
- Experience with-or a strong desire to develop expertise in-AI image generation and AI-assisted creative workflows, with an interest in emerging tools and new ways of creating.
- Strong eye for composition, product scale, perspective, lighting, shadows, visual hierarchy, and realistic product integration.
- Understanding of responsive and adaptive design, accessibility, and ADA-compliant design principles.
- Ability to work within established creative direction while bringing strong judgment, taste, and attention to detail to the execution.
- Experience working with templates and scalable design systems to efficiently create and adapt content across multiple site and app placements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with creative leads, cross-functional teams, and external creative partners.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables and independently driving work from concept through final execution.
