POSITION Freelance Packaging & Print Production Designer

ABOUT US Bee Street is a celebrity & influencer marketing agency known for the custom mailers and PR gifting moments we create for leading consumer brands. We design and produce one-of-a-kind unboxing experiences-original concepts, custom packaging, and bespoke components built from scratch that land in the hands of high-profile influencers and celebrities and get opened on camera.
ABOUT THIS POSITION We are looking for freelance designers to own the visual side of these influencer mailers from pitch to production - building the mockups and presentations that help sell a concept to a client and then developing the print-ready artwork. This is a project-based role with steady, recurring work, ideal for a designer who understands print production + packaging.
THE POSITION
Concept + Presentation
- Translate creative briefs from the Founder / Creative Director into visual concepts for custom mailers, packaging, and gifting kits.
- Create photorealistic mockups and renders of proposed mailers for client pitches
- Design and layout client facing pitch decks that present the concept, design details, and unboxing sequence.
- Iterate quickly on client feedback through concept and revision rounds
Production Design
- Develop final artwork for rigid boxes, mailer boxes, sleeves, labels, stickers, inserts etc.
- Work within vendor supplied dielines and structural templates; set up bleeds, trim, safe zones etc.
- Prepare artwork for decoration methods including laser engraving foil stamping, embossing/debossing, spotUV, etc.
- Adapt client artwork and branding to packaging structure while maintaining brand compliance
- Package print-ready files
- Review vendor proofs and press samples for accuracy and flag issues before production
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in packaging design, print production, or production art
- Portfolio showing produced packaging and print work
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator; proficient in Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience building mockups and product renders for client presentations
- Experience in the packaging, paper goods, or promotional product industry
- Working knowledge of print process and finishing techniques
- Strong typography and layout skills
- Organized, responsive, and able to turn around work on short timelines
This role is not logo and brand identity development, web or app design, or social media content. If most of your portfolio is on-screen work without physical product pieces, this is likely not the right fit.
