This role is ideal for a creative and organized social media professional passionate about fashion, personal branding, and storytelling. You will be responsible for managing and elevating a personal brand’s Instagram presence, leveraging a rich library of professional photography, video, archival material, and new footage. The position requires transforming diverse content into engaging short-form videos, graphics, carousels, and captions, as well as handling scheduling and community engagement. You will work closely with a well-established brand direction and strategy, contributing fresh ideas while staying current with Instagram trends. The role is hybrid, based in Los Angeles, and includes occasional on-site filming or event coverage.
Deliverables
- Edit and repurpose existing photography, video, and archival content into polished Instagram posts and stories
- Create short-form videos, hooks, covers, graphics, and carousels tailored to the brand’s themes
- Write compelling captions and schedule posts for optimal engagement
- Monitor and engage with the Instagram community, responding to comments and messages
- Attend occasional in-person filming sessions or events in Los Angeles to capture new content
- Stay updated on Instagram trends and recommend creative strategies to enhance brand visibility
Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media for personal brands, fashion, lifestyle, authors, or speakers
- Strong skills in video editing, graphic design, and content creation for Instagram
- Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Instagram scheduling platforms)
- Deep understanding of Instagram trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Excellent written communication and storytelling abilities
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving brand needs
- Must be based in Los Angeles and available for occasional on-site work; remote or travel-only applicants will not be considered
