Social Media & Community Coordinator – Well-known True Crime TV IP (Part-Time)
Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid)
Position: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)
We're looking for an organized, creative Social Media & Community Coordinator to help launch a major true crime documentary and the new video podcast for one of television's most recognizable true crime brands. This is an opportunity to join a small, collaborative team and help shape the digital presence of one of television's most recognized true crime brands.
The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, understands YouTube and social media, and is excited to help grow an engaged audience across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage content calendars across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and other platforms.
- Publish and schedule content using social media management tools.
- Create engaging social media posts, graphics, captions, reels, and short-form video clips.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content during productions and special events.
- Coordinate social content with our podcast host and publicity team.
- Monitor comments, messages, and community engagement while helping foster a positive online community.
- Track social media performance and provide regular analytics reports with recommendations for growth.
- Update website and online store content as needed.
- Stay current on platform trends, YouTube best practices, and emerging social media opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional social media experience in entertainment, television, digital media, or podcasts.
- Strong understanding of YouTube strategy and audience growth.
- Experience creating short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Comfortable editing short-form video using Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar software.
- Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, or other graphic design tools.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must be based in the Los Angeles area and available to attend occasional shoots and production days.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working on documentary, true crime, television, or podcast brands.
- Knowledge of YouTube Analytics and audience optimization.
- Experience managing online communities or fan engagement.
- Photography or videography experience.
