We are seeking a freelance graphic designer to support multiple cannabis brands across marketing, apparel, packaging, and product design.
Assignments will be offered individually based on business needs. There are no guaranteed hours or minimum number of projects.
For each assignment, we will provide the project brief, deliverables, brand standards, deadline, and approved budget.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our team to maintain brand consistency across multiple platforms and product lines
- Create compelling logos, packaging, apparel graphics, marketing materials, and digital content
- Prepare production ready files for print, packaging, apparel, web, and social media
- Incorporate feedback and complete agreed revisions within project deadlines
- Stay current with design technology, social media, competitive trends, and the cannabis marketplace
- Maintain organized source files and deliver final assets according to project requirements
Qualifications
- At least three years of professional graphic design experience
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Excellent typography, layout, branding, and conceptual design skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Experience with apparel, packaging, or cannabis brands is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field is preferred but not required
- Must maintain any business license or tax registration required in the jurisdiction where the designer operates
Contractor Relationship and Payment
This is a freelance independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position. The designer will:
- Operate an independently established graphic design business
- Maintain their own business location
- Use their own computer, software, equipment, and supplies
- Remain free to provide services to other clients
- Be responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licenses, and business expenses
- Submit an invoice after each completed assignment
- Receive payment within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt, subject to the applicable project agreement
Each assignment will be documented in writing and will identify the deliverables, compensation, deadline, payment terms, and applicable intellectual property rights. The selected designer must qualify as a bona fide independent contractor under California law.
