Two hires, two lanes
Story and growth here is two hires, not one. Both make what we build impossible to ignore and drive real, measurable growth, not just output. One lane carries the brand and the founder. The other builds the world around every product launch. They work side by side, and you apply to the lane that is you.
Brand and founder growth
You run the story and growth for the lab and the studio, and you grow the founder in public. You film, edit, and ship content, run the channels, and build pipelines that compound across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. You are fluent with AI in your stack, Claude as a daily collaborator for research, drafting, and volume, so one person moves like a team. You own The Playbook, our monthly magazine. Growth is the point: you carry the reach and the curve, and you can show exactly what moved it.
What lane one owns
- Film, edit, and ship short-form video and brand storytelling at a high bar.
- Run the channels on a reliable cadence with a pipeline weeks ahead.
- Build growth pipelines across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, and run experiments you can measure.
- Use AI as part of the build, Claude especially, to move like a bigger team.
- Own The Playbook, our monthly magazine, and grow the founder's presence.
Growing a founder in public
A real part of this lane grows the founder's presence. There is genuine credibility and attention here that has never had someone behind it. You build a separate, more personal feed: thought pieces, a higher-fashion presentation, the founder's voice given room to grow. For the right person, this is the exciting part.
Product launch and worldbuilding
You own how our products come into the world. Launch strategy for each one, pop-up concepts, events, grassroots, and community. You are a creative worldbuilder: you build the world around a product, the culture and the moments that make people show up, not just the posts. You think in launches and scenes, and you grow real communities around what we ship.
What lane two owns
- Own launch strategy for each product, end to end.
- Concept and run pop-ups, events, and moments people travel for.
- Build community and grassroots growth around what we ship.
- Turn a launch into a world, not just a post, and make a small budget feel like a big moment.
What we hold both to
Both seats are measured on outcomes, not activity. Lane one: a reliable content cadence with the pipeline weeks ahead, The Playbook on deadline, launches supported, and early, measurable growth on the accounts you own. Lane two: launch concepts in market, pop-ups and events that actually happen, and communities that grow. Reach is not the finish line, it feeds the funnel, and we measure whether the audience converts into inbound, client leads, and candidate flow we can trace back to what you shipped.
Who fits lane one
- Several years running social, content, and growth for a brand, studio, or creator, at real scale.
- You have owned a feed and a growth number, not just contributed to one.
- Fluent in editing and design (Premiere or Final Cut, Figma or Canva) and fluent with AI, Claude especially.
- You build pipelines across LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, and you show your work in numbers.
Who fits lane two
- A background in experiential, events, community, or brand worldbuilding, with launches you can point to.
- You conceive and run pop-ups and moments people travel for.
- Taste, hustle, and grassroots instincts. You grow communities, not just follower counts.
- You think in worlds and launches, and you can make a small budget feel like a big moment.
Bring the receipts for your lane
Lane one: a reel and the accounts you have grown with real numbers, plus a launch you ran. Lane two: the launches, pop-ups, events, or communities you have built, and what showed up. We want growth and moments you can point to and attribute. Reach we can verify beats a deck of vibes.
What both lanes share
Both are seats for operators with a track record, not a first job. You move like an owner, you set the strategy and do the hands-on work yourself, and you treat reach as a means, not the end. Trend-aware, fast, and taste-led.
Not your seat if
- Your results are all small-scale or hard to attribute.
- You need a finished brief and direction to move.
- You are strong on output but cannot show growth or moments you drove.
- You want to be handed an audience rather than build one.
Logistics
- Location. NYC, in person first.
- Setting. Full-time, no fixed hours. Like every role here you start on a three-month paid contract, then full-time on a fit.
- Openings. Two, one per lane, both full-time.
- Level. Proven operators.
Compensation and benefits
A serious full-time seat, paid to match. Cash compensation set by experience, no fixed band. This is not an entry rate, we pay for a proven operator. Benefits include health coverage, daily lunch, top-tier gear, the tools you need, and a craft budget.
