About the Role
Dermelect is looking for a creative, digitally native Social Media & Community Coordinator to manage our organic social presence and help grow our creator and affiliate programs.
The ideal candidate is beauty-obsessed, highly organized, and comfortable taking content from concept through execution. You understand how to turn product stories, beauty trends, and cultural moments into engaging, brand-right content and use performance insights to make each new idea stronger.
What You’ll Do
- Help shape and execute Dermelect’s organic social strategy, translating brand priorities into content opportunities that drive engagement and channel growth
- Manage Dermelect’s day-to-day social presence, including content planning, calendar management, publishing, and maintaining a consistent posting cadence
- Develop concepts, film, edit, write, and publish original social-first content, appearing on camera as needed to bring Dermelect’s products and stories to life
- Turn product launches, promotions, beauty trends, platform shifts, and relevant cultural moments into timely social ideas that feel distinctly Dermelect
- Support social content shoots and adapt brand, campaign, and creator assets across formats and channels
- Monitor social and content performance and prepare weekly reports highlighting key results, content learnings, audience insights, and recommended next steps
- Build meaningful connections with Dermelect’s community through proactive engagement, user-generated content discovery, and active social listening
- Manage Dermelect’s creator and affiliate initiatives, including partner identification, outreach, gifting, briefing, activation, follow-up, and performance tracking
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, community management, influencer marketing, or a related field, including relevant internship experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, including trends and content formats
- Strong social copywriting, visual storytelling, and communication skills
- Hands-on experience developing concepts, filming, editing, and publishing social-first content, including appearing on camera as needed
- Working knowledge of design and content editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Experience with creator outreach, gifting, influencer partnerships, or affiliate programs
- Ability to analyze social performance data and translate findings into clear insights and recommended next steps
- Familiarity with ShopMy, LTK, Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, or similar platforms
- A portfolio or examples of past social media work demonstrating creative thinking, writing, or strategic execution

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000–$65,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. - This is a full-time, on-site position at our Mineola, NY office. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily.
