We are looking for a Social Media Manager to own the strategy, voice, and day-to-day management of our social channels. This is a strategy, storytelling, and community role, not a photography role. The Social Media Manager plans what content is needed, directs and schedules our photographer's shoots, and turns the resulting assets into a steady, high-quality publishing calendar across all channels. The role also includes capturing lightweight, in-the-moment content on a phone: Stories, Reels, behind-the-scenes clips, and event moments; but is not responsible for professional-grade photo or video production.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Publishing
Own the strategy and day-to-day management of all dealership social channels, the three Miller Motorcars accounts and a dedicated account for each franchise brand (the “daughtergrams”), across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Build and maintain a content calendar that keeps every channel active, distinct, and aligned with brand guidelines and marketing priorities.
Write captions and copy in the appropriate voice and tone for each marque and audience.
Schedule, publish, and manage the timing and cadence of posts across all accounts.
Ensure all content complies with each manufacturer's brand and social media guidelines and franchise standards.
Managing the Photographer & Content Pipeline
Manage the Photographer/Videographer: set priorities, own their shoot schedule, and direct what needs to be captured and when.
Plan and brief shoots: new, pre-owned, and classic inventory, events, deliveries, and brand storytelling, so the content pipeline stays full and ahead of the calendar.
Coordinate with sales, service, and management to know what inventory and events need coverage, then translate that into a clear shot list for the photographer.
Review, select, and organize finished assets for publishing, and ensure the media library stays organized and accessible to the team.
Provide creative direction and feedback to keep output on-brand across all marques, while leaving professional photo and video production to the photographer.
Content Creation (Lightweight / Mobile)
Capture in-the-moment content on a phone: Stories, Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes clips, and event coverage, to keep channels fresh and authentic.
Perform light editing and assembly of short-form content (trims, captions, text overlays, trending audio) using mobile and social-native tools.
Design simple graphics and templates (e.g., Canva) for announcements, promotions, and stories as needed.
Community Management & Engagement
Engage the audience: respond to comments and direct messages in each brand's voice, and foster the community across all accounts.
Monitor mentions and conversations, and escalate sales or service inquiries to the right team promptly.
Identify and pursue opportunities for client features, collaborations, influencer partnerships, and manufacturer co-marketing.
Strategy, Analytics & Trends
Develop the overall content strategy in partnership with marketing and ownership, tailoring the approach by brand and channel.
Track performance (reach, engagement, growth, saves, video views, and lead signals) and report on what is working with clear, actionable recommendations.
Stay ahead of platform trends, formats, and best practices, and bring fresh ideas that keep each brand current and distinctive.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience managing social media for a brand or business, including strategy, content planning, publishing, and community engagement (a portfolio of managed accounts is required).
Excellent writing and copy skills, with the ability to adapt voice across multiple brands and audiences.
Strong visual and editorial judgment, able to direct shoots, select the right assets, and maintain a premium, on-brand aesthetic.
Comfort creating and lightly editing short-form mobile content (Reels, Stories, TikTok) using social-native and mobile tools.
Experience coordinating creative resources, briefing photographers, videographers, or vendors and managing a content pipeline and calendar.
Highly organized and self-directed, able to manage many channels, deadlines, and priorities at once.
Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics tools, and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the automotive, luxury, fashion, hospitality, or high-end retail space.
Prior experience managing or directing creative staff or freelancers.
Familiarity with manufacturer brand and social compliance requirements.
Attributes for Success
The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller and organized operator who knows what great content looks like and how to get it produced through others. They are self-directed and accountable, care deeply about brand consistency, and thrive in a fast-moving, high-standards environment. They communicate clearly across departments, direct creative work with a confident but collaborative hand, and treat every vehicle and client interaction with discretion and professionalism.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily on-site across the Greenwich showrooms, with regular travel to off-site shoots, and events.
Some evening and weekend work required for events, deliveries, and time-sensitive content.
Comfortable being on-site and mobile throughout the day, capturing content on the showroom floor and at events.
