Social Media Manager
Location: Hybrid – East Hanover, NJ (2–3 days/week onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract + possible extensions

Position Overview
We're seeking a Social Media Manager with pharmaceutical marketing experience to lead social media strategy, video content initiatives, and digital engagement across multiple platforms. This person will partner with brand, creative, medical, legal, regulatory, and commercial teams to deliver compliant, engaging content that supports pharmaceutical marketing objectives for healthcare professionals and patient communities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize video-first content and multimedia campaigns
- Manage social media calendars, content publishing, and audience engagement initiatives
- Partner with brand marketing, creative, video production, commercial, medical, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure all content is compliant
- Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations based on analytics and engagement metrics
- Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while maintaining project timelines and stakeholder communication
- Support commercial marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, engagement, and educational outreach
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field
- 5+ years of social media and digital marketing experience
- 2+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry
- Experience creating and managing content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Hands-on experience supporting video content creation and platform management for TikTok and Instagram
- Experience working for a pharmaceutical company or pharma marketing agency (Publicis, IPG Health, Havas Health, Ogilvy Health, EVERSANA, etc.)
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical promotional regulations, MLR review, and compliance requirements
- Experience managing multiple social campaigns and cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
