Content Creator Social Media Intern
The Content Creator Social Media Intern will support the IHC digital team with health, wellness, beauty and consumer goods accounts. This role is focused on digital content for use in social media (TikTok and Instagram) and digital communications response to client briefs. The successful candidate will be a hands-on content creator first and foremost — someone who can pick up a camera, shoot and edit polished content independently, and bring creative concepts to life without heavy direction from senior staff. A social media native who understands the latest viral trends and themes on TikTok and Instagram. Have knowledge of the digital ecosystem and be able to implement digital marketing strategies that result in increased sales. A strong passion for / knowledge of current digital trends is essential, as well as an interest in fashion and the wider cultural/social landscape (i.e. music, art etc.), as they will be tasked with creating concepts and branded content for various platforms to drive buzz online.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels and TikToks for the assigned social media accounts using the footage provided to you and CapCut or similar editing platforms
- Create on-brand graphics, carousels, and other digital designs for the assigned social media accounts using Canva or similar platforms
- Create on-brand Instagram story graphics for the assigned social media accounts using Canva or similar platforms
- Write and edit captions for assigned social media accounts across platforms.
- Photograph content for client’s social media based on the direction from the IHC team
- Conceptualize photo and video shoots through mood boards based on the direction from the IHC team
- Research social media and industry trends to share with IHC team and their clients
- Spearhead community management for the assigned social media accounts which includes engaging with followers and like minded accounts on behalf of the client, responding to comments, monitoring the DM’s. Community management is a daily responsibility for 30-60 mins throughout the day.
- Support senior staff across all client activities
- Edit photos and videos for cross platform use
- Capture photo and video content for the assigned social media accounts based on the direction from the IHC team.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their evolution
- Must be proficient in Canva & CapCut
- Experience creating content for TikTok and/or Instagram, whether through personal channels, freelance work, or previous internships (portfolio or reel required)
- Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit content independently (portfolio or reel required)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects
- Team player who can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Passionate about current cultural trends, social media, influencer marketing and storytelling
- Extremely meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in video editing platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar — able to produce polished, platform-ready edits independently
- Strong eye for visual storytelling, knows how to frame a shot, work with natural light, and capture content that feels native to the platform
- Familiar with trending audio, transitions, and editing styles on TikTok and Reels and able to execute them quickly
- Comfortable directing themselves or others on camera to capture authentic, on-brand content with minimal oversight
Job Type: Unpaid Internship
Schedule:
- Minimum 20 hours a week, with availability for calls/in-person meetings Monday - Friday 9am-6pm
- Weekend availability as needed for real-time posting or event support
