Expert Advisor: Commercial Print Technology Expert
What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Industry Expertise:
Commercial Print Technology: Expert-level knowledge of commercial printing technologies, including digital presses (production inkjet and toner-based systems), conventional printing (Offset, Flexography), and wide-format printing (flatbed and roll-to-roll).
Production Workflow: Deep familiarity with the end-to-end print production workflow, encompassing pre-press, job submission, color management, printing, and post-press finishing.
Industry Terminology: Fluency in specialized industry terms related to substrates, ink, resolution (DPI), print speed, color gamuts (CMYK+), throughput, and uptime.
B2B Content Strategy: Proven ability to translate complex technical features into meaningful business benefits for a professional B2B audience, specifically targeting print shop owners and production managers.
Content Evaluation: A sharp eye for assessing technical accuracy and authenticity, with the ability to eliminate marketing jargon and replace it with credible, authoritative language.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to a content team.
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications, Print Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent professional experience is highly valued and will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum 5-10 years of direct professional experience in the commercial printing, graphic arts, or print marketing industry is required.
A portfolio of work demonstrating B2B technical writing, content strategy, or product marketing within the printing or a related manufacturing industry is required.

Idealliance G7® Expert or Professional Certification
EFI™ Fiery® Certified Professional
Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing
Certifications from marketing platforms or professional editing associations

Flexible scheduling — this position requires a minimum of 4 hours of remote availability per week with complete flexibility in time and location, as long as the 48-hour deadline is met.

Responsibilities
As an experienced professional in your field, you’ll get to review a variety of interesting content projects to verify industry accuracy. You will:
- Review content for correctness. Is the information in a project true for your industry?
- Identify sections or points in copy that need clarification. Can a concept be better explained, and how?
- Recommend and suggest changes that our top-notch team of writers and editors can implement within projects. What needs to change, and how, to ensure content is educational and factually accurate?
In the role of a print media expert at WebFX, you will find fulfillment in sharing your experience with our team of talented writers and editors. You will ensure the accuracy and relevance of banking and digital asset content we create for our clients while effortlessly communicating complex concepts in an accessible manner.
Location
This position is fully remote! Work from anywhere as long as you have a great internet connection and a comfortable workspace.
Time commitment
How much time can you commit per week? We're looking for someone who can confidently commit at least ~4 hours per week.
Our project management team will align your workload based on your scheduling availability, which you’ll communicate to us each week. Here’s a review of the workflow: Projects should be accepted or declined within 48 hours of receiving them. After 48 hours with no response, they will be removed from your queue. If you accept the project, you will have 48 hours from the day of acceptance to complete your project review.

Flexible Schedule: As an independent contractor, you get to choose your optimal work schedule and have the convenience of working from home.
Compensation: Hourly rates from $50 to $70 per hour. Compensation depends on certifications, education and work experience.
