We are building an ongoing content pipeline of research-backed educational articles on peptides and related compounds and are hiring freelance medical writers to join the roster. This is contract work, paid per article, with consistent ongoing volume for writers who establish strong fit.
Articles are ~1,500-word narrative literature reviews on individual compounds — peptides, incretin-based therapies (GLP-1, GLP-1/GIP, and triple agonists), growth-hormone-axis peptides, recovery compounds, and emerging metabolic and longevity research compounds. Each article is written for an educated general reader and built from primary literature.
The articles are published on a research-use-only compound marketplace, where editorial content lives alongside product listings. We want writers who are comfortable with that context and who can produce conservative, citation-heavy research writing — not marketing copy.
What you'll do
- Research and write ~1,500-word narrative literature reviews on assigned compounds from our inventory
- Source 8–12 primary citations per article from PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubChem, and NIH resources
- Write in conservative, research-oriented language ("investigated for," "studied in," "associated with") — no marketing claims or promotional phrasing
- Distinguish between preclinical evidence, clinical evidence, and approved-indication evidence within each article
- Deliver clean drafts ready for editorial review and publication
What you bring
- Background in pharmacology, pharmacy (PharmD), biochemistry, endocrinology, medical writing, or a related scientific discipline
- Demonstrated ability to read and accurately summarize primary scientific literature
- Strong written English and the ability to write for an educated non-specialist audience
- Citation discipline — fabricated, hallucinated, or misattributed citations are an automatic disqualification
- Comfort with the editorial context (research-use-only compound marketplace, conservative claims posture, articles bylined under the writer's real name)
Byline and context
Articles are published under the writer's real name as the author. This is a meaningful professional commitment we take seriously on our end:
- Editorial tone is strictly research-education, not marketing. Promotional phrasing is rejected at the editor level.
- Writers review and approve the final version of each article before it goes live.
- The site is a research-use-only compound marketplace combining product listings with editorial content. Writers should be comfortable having their name on conservative, citation-heavy educational content in that context.
Volume and trajectory
We expect to produce 2–3 articles per week across our writer roster, with consistent ongoing volume for writers who establish strong fit. This is built as a long-term engagement, not a one-off project.
How we onboard
Every writer starts with either:
- A paid trial article on a compound of our choosing (paid at the agreed per-article rate), or
- A relevant existing writing sample (a peptide or research-compound piece you've already produced) that demonstrates your voice, citation discipline, and rigor
If the trial piece or sample meets our standards, we move directly into ongoing assignments.
Compensation
$300–$500 per 1,500-word article, depending on experience, scientific background, and demonstrated fit on the trial piece or sample. Writers with strong clinical-evidence interpretation skills (clinical-trial literature, approved-indication compounds) generally land at the higher end of the range. Ongoing rate is negotiated separately from trial-piece rate.
To apply
Please submit:
- A brief note on your scientific background and writing experience
- One or two writing samples that demonstrate citation discipline and research-oriented tone (links or attachments both fine — peptide-space samples preferred but not required)
- Your per-article rate
- Any subject-matter experience with peptides, GLP-class compounds, growth hormone axis, or research compounds
We read every application carefully.
