PopCulture.com is seeking a contributor to join our team and help cover the most pressing and trendiest news stories each week - as well as contribute regular features and list articles. We’re specifically interested in writers who understand the intersection of pop culture and predictive markets. You will need to have a constant beat on pop culture, US news, and music market boards and odds. Living and breathing pop culture and entertainment through the lens of Polymarket, Kalshi, and other predictive market tickers will be vital to this position and success.
This fully remote position has flexible scheduling options and opportunities for advancement.

- Industry insights and analysis are essential to every article that we publish. We are looking for passionate pop culture experts who can turn their experiences and expertise into informative articles that are packed with smart industry analysis.
- For this specific role, we are seeking an active contributor who is looking to get their foot in the door at PopCulture.com and grow with us. Contributors will need to write 3-5 articles per day.
You Will:
- Be a part of a new initiative focusing on predictive markets in pop culture, US News, and Music as well as speculative analysis of upcoming events.
- Compose engaging news articles with a focus on what happens and insights into why it matters, sourcing boards like Polymarket, Kalshi, etc.
- Write engaging news and some list articles - tap into what you know best and share those hot takes and retrospectives with our audiences.
- Work with editors to pitch and develop unique perspectives in order to provide timely coverage of news as it happens.
- Produce clean, engaging copy requiring minimal edits while working with editors to incorporate feedback into future pieces - on the road to self-publishing your work.
- Bring your knowledge and expertise to the team and own lanes of coverage.
- Follow editorial guidelines and adapt writing style to site voice (with plenty of room for personal flourishes) as needed.
- Maintain professional standards of communication within our organization.
You Have:
- Prior publishing experience in journalism or other professional writing fields (technical and/or creative).
- A clear understanding of how predictive markets work and how to angle content around them.
- A portfolio of past work for us to review.
- Degree and/or certification in English-related education is a benefit but not mandatory.
- Ideas you'd love to find a home for as well as an appreciation for taking on and owning new interests as they emerge.
Evening and weekend availability is a huge boon in this position, but is not required. Those able to work during these timeframes will more often be able to do so at their own pace.
