Company Description
sachi is a managed childcare marketplace built on a simple belief: human educators are irreplaceable in a child’s early years, and families deserve to find them without guesswork. We connect Bay Area families with credentialed educators, preschool through K-12, and pay educators 100% of their hourly rate. Our brand values are Trust and Joy.
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Content Creator & Social Media Manager, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with flexibility for remote work. The role involves creating engaging content for TikTok and Instagram, managing social media accounts, developing growth strategies, and monitoring social media trends. The Content Creator will also collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment with the company’s brand voice and goals.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves making content for TikTok and Instagram. Not a “social media manager.” Someone who already spends real time on these platforms, has opinions about what works, and has wished more than once that posting could be the actual job.
If you’re a mom, a current or former teacher, or both, please raise your hand. You already understand the audience because you are the audience, and that perspective is worth more to us than any agency deck.
What You'll Own
A weekly cadence across TikTok and Instagram, roughly:
• 3 short-form videos per week (a mix of original concepts, trends adapted to our world, and behind-the-scenes with real educators and families)
• 2 static posts per week (proof, testimonials, educator spotlights, family stories)
• Stories 4 to 5 days per week (lighter, conversational, in-the-moment)
• Light support on email and SMS copy when content overlaps
You’ll work directly with the founder, a former PreK educator with a decade of Bay Area classroom experience, on monthly content arcs that move through proof and belief, awareness and warm-up, and conversion when there’s a specific moment to drive.
You’re a strong fit if
• You’re a parent, an educator, or both, with real perspective on early childhood and care
• You’ve grown an account, yours or someone else’s, and can point to what you made
• You write captions that sound like a person, not a brand
• You’re comfortable on camera, or comfortable directing someone who is
• You can take a rough idea and turn it into a finished post without a long approval chain
Nice to have
• Teaching experience, preschool through K-12
• Familiarity with the Bay Area family landscape
• Light video editing (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
Logistics
• Part-time contract, roughly 10 to 15 hours per week to start
• Hourly rate based on experience
• Mostly async, one weekly check-in
• Remote, with optional in-person shoots in the Bay Area when we’re filming educators or families
To apply
Send links to 2 or 3 pieces of content you’ve made (not a list of platforms you’ve “managed”) and one sentence on why this role caught your eye.
