Marinko's Desserts makes raw, organic, plant-based cakes — premium, health-focused, and genuinely beautiful when shot well. We're hiring one person to handle our content end-to-end: photography, short-form video, and social media management across Instagram and TikTok.
This is a combined role because we're a small brand and we need someone who can both create the content and run the channels. If you're great at one side and weak on the other, this isn't the right fit.
What You'll Do
- Shoot product photography and short-form video (Reels, TikToks) at our LA kitchen and at pop-ups / farmers markets.
- Edit and publish 4–7 posts per week across Instagram and TikTok.
- Plan and execute a content calendar aligned with product launches, seasonal moments, and trends.
- Engage with our community — comments, DMs, relevant accounts in the plant-based / wellness / LA food space.
- Track what's working and adjust. We want growth, not busywork.
- Coordinate with food creators and micro-influencers for collaborations and gifting.
Who We're Looking For
- 2+ years creating content for food, beverage, wellness, or lifestyle brands — either in-house, at an agency, or as a freelancer with real clients.
- A portfolio with food or product photography that makes you want to buy the thing. Cake/dessert work is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to grow a social account. We're not asking for 100K followers on your personal page — we're asking for evidence that accounts you've run have grown under your management.
- Comfortable with short-form video: shooting it, editing it, understanding what works on Reels and TikTok specifically.
- Your own camera gear. We can provide styling props and kitchen access.
- Based in LA and willing to come to our market locations + Lincoln Heights kitchen when needed.
Rate & Structure
- $30–$50/hour depending on experience, starting part-time.
- Freelance/contract to start.
- Potential for performance bonuses tied to follower growth and engagement milestones.
