Agriculture Fairness Alliance (AFA) is a national advocacy & lobbying organization working to create a just and sustainable food system. We are currently in D.C. lobbying to make urgent change to the upcoming Farm Bill. As we continue to expand our efforts, we’re seeking a social media manager to join our team. The ideal candidate would have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram reels, Twitter, and TikTok

A basic understanding of how to use AI, like chatgpt to create content and edit language fast.

Incorporates using tools to create 1 piece of content that customizes it for each social media type + posts it thru one platform.

Knowledge of current trends and best practices in social media marketing

Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content

Experience with content creation tools and platforms such as Canva

Experience putting up the scheduled content for review in Canva

Understanding of social media analytics and ability to use data to inform content strategy

Ability to manage multiple social media accounts and campaigns simultaneously

Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Familiarity with social media advertising and ability to manage ad campaigns

We are a Vegan Backed Lobbying Group who drives policy change at the federal level. We are known for our Farm Transition Legislation whereby we help Farmers by giving them options to use subsidies to transition from livestock farming to plant based farming. Other themes of policy change that we do: Vegan Food Accessibility, Farmer Inclusivity ensuring the BIPOC community receives subsidies, climate revitalization, food policy fairness and more.
