Ornate Home (ornatehome.com) is a nationwide furniture marketplace with showrooms in Santa Ana, CA and Charlotte, NC. We work with a curated vendor network and deliver furniture to customers across the United States. Our Santa Ana showroom is our home base — and the backdrop for the content we want to create.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a creative, camera-comfortable Social Media Content Manager to join our team on-site at our Santa Ana showroom. You will be responsible for producing and managing content for Instagram and TikTok — capturing the showroom, the products, and the personality of the Ornate Home brand.
This is a part-time role, approximately 20 hours per week, based fully on-site in Santa Ana.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a consistent content calendar for Instagram and TikTok
- Film, edit, and publish short-form video content including Reels and TikToks — primarily shot in the showroom
- Create static posts, carousels, and stories that showcase products and promotions
- Write engaging captions with relevant hashtags and calls to action
- Monitor comments, DMs, and engage with the community on both platforms
- Track content performance (reach, engagement, saves, follows) and report weekly highlights
- Stay current with trending audio, formats, and content styles on TikTok and Instagram
- Collaborate with the marketing team on product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotions
- Bring creative ideas to the table — you will have real ownership over how Ornate Home looks and sounds online
Requirements
Must Have
- 1+ years of experience managing Instagram and/or TikTok accounts professionally (brand, agency, or freelance)
- Hands-on video shooting and editing skills — comfortable filming with a phone or camera and editing natively or with tools like CapCut, InShot, or similar
- Strong eye for aesthetics, framing, and visual storytelling
- Understanding of short-form video trends, hooks, pacing, and what performs on each platform
- Comfortable being behind (and occasionally in front of) the camera
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage your own content schedule
- Must be based in or able to commute to Santa Ana, CA — this is a fully on-site role
Nice to Have
- Experience in furniture, interior design, home decor, or lifestyle content
- Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok analytics dashboards
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
- Experience with product tagging and shopping features on Instagram
