We’re hiring a social video editor to help drive a high-output financial media operation based in our West Loop office in Chicago.
Nicholas Crown operates a fast-growing financial media brand(+3M followers and growing) across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X, publishing short-form content focused on markets, macro, investing, and portfolio strategy. The content combines financial education with premium social-first execution and reaches a large audience across platforms.
This is a short-form-first role. We publish 4–5 units per day, so speed is critical. You should be comfortable working quickly, turning edits fast, and operating in a real-time content environment where markets move and content has to move with them.
You do not need to be a financial expert, but you must have a basic understanding of financial markets and feel comfortable working around topics like investing and market commentary.
What you’ll do
- Edit high-volume short-form video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X
- Turn around content quickly, often same-day
- Cut both studio-shot educational content and more spontaneous real-time market and lifestyle content
- Collaborate closely with video production to turn fresh shoots into finished content quickly
- Add captions, on-screen text, pacing, and structure that feel sharp, premium, and native to each platform
- Pull selects and identify strong moments from raw footage
- Create multiple versions of content when needed
- Maintain organized project files and a clean workflow inside the office
- Schedule and publish content using our publishing and scheduling tools
- Work closely with the team to keep output high without sacrificing quality

- Experience editing for a creator, media brand, or finance-related business
