Expanding our digital marketing capabilities will allow us to create an entry point for our sales teams while nurturing healthcare professionals (HCPs) through their journey. To help bring this strategy to life, we are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist (Email and Journey Execution) to join our creative team. This role will focus on building, deploying, and optimizing email communications and customer journeys powered by Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate has hands-on email marketing experience, a strong attention to detail, and growing marketing automation skills to help drive engagement and adoption. If you are passionate about customer engagement and delivering high-quality digital campaigns, we want to hear from you!
A Day in the Life:
· Email Creation and Sends: Build, edit, test, and deploy emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio), ensuring brand consistency, mobile responsiveness, and strong QA across links, images, and personalization. Coordinate send readiness, including sender settings, scheduling, approvals, and test sends/proofs.
· Journey Builder Execution: Configure and manage customer journeys in Journey Builder using established templates and requirements, including multi-step communications, wait steps, and touchpoint timing. Set up entry sources (data extensions/audiences), validate entry counts, and manage entry rules and re-entry settings.
· Decision Splits and Pathing: Implement Decision Splits and basic branching logic to support personalized experiences (for example, engagement-based paths such as opens/clicks when applicable, or audience qualification rules). Apply exclusions/suppression and journey exit rules to ensure contacts follow the intended path. QA journeys end-to-end prior to activation and monitor active journeys for operational issues.
· Audience, Data Extensions, and Sender Lists: Create and maintain data extensions and sendable audiences to support sends and journeys, including segmented lists and suppression lists. Perform basic data validation (required fields, field mapping, record counts, sendability) and partner with marketing ops/IT to troubleshoot list or data issues.
· Automation and Workflow Support: Build and maintain basic automations in Automation Studio to support campaign operations such as imports, file drops, audience refreshes, and send preparation steps. Monitor automations for successful runs and escalate issues when needed.
· Reporting and Optimization: Pull campaign and journey performance results using Salesforce Marketing Cloud reporting tools, tracking metrics such as delivery, open rate, click-through rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribes. Support A/B testing for subject lines, content, and send timing, documenting results and recommending improvements.
· Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, creative/content, compliance, analytics, and sales partners to align campaign execution with business objectives and timelines, while following established build, QA, and approval processes.
Must Have Skills:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
· Experience: 2–5 years of experience in email marketing, marketing operations, or marketing automation, with hands-on experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable platform.
· Salesforce Marketing Cloud Core Skills: Working knowledge of Email Studio and Journey Builder, including building emails, configuring sends, setting up entry sources, and supporting decision splits/basic journey logic. Experience creating and managing data extensions and audience lists used for sending.
Nice to Have Skills:
· Automation Studio: Experience building or monitoring basic automations (imports, scheduled workflows, file drops, audience refreshes).
· Reporting Familiarity: Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud reporting and/or exported performance data to summarize results and support optimization recommendations.
· HTML/CSS Fundamentals: Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for minor email edits and troubleshooting rendering issues.
· Process and Collaboration: Experience working within structured intake, build, QA, and approval workflows with strong attention to detail, organization skills, and clear communication across teams.
