Job Description
BUCK is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Brand Designer (Freelance) to join our team. This Designer will work alongside the Creative and Strategy Leads to shape the creative ambition of the project from concept to delivery. We’re looking for someone who can think broadly, refine rigorously, and elevate the work at every stage. Being comfortable working across various styles and disciplines with a sense of humor and a passionate work ethic is a must.
In this role you will lead and contribute to brand identity projects from strategy through expression with a focus on developing visual identities, design systems, typography, logos, iconography, and campaign toolkits.
Ideal candidates show an ability to work autonomously with a unique POV to translate positioning into distinctive, ownable creative directions. Versed in presenting work clearly and confidently – articulating both concept and craft is integral to the role. Takes direction well and embodies a collaborative spirit with the variety of roles on a team; from strategy to design to production. Motion behavior and animation skills are also beneficial but not essential.
This is a freelance position with the potential of converting to full time.
Responsibilities

- Design in a range of styles, aware of current pop culture and design trends
- A drive, passion and curiosity for unearthing the next and new
- Apply rigor and design thinking to business and creative problem solving for our clients
- Work on creative end-to-end solutions, from concept through codification of guidelines and asset delivery
- Ideate and execute across a variety of touch points and surfaces
- Codify and create meticulous brand guidelines
Adaptability & Flexibility
- Contribute to projects of varying complexity and mediums
- Work effectively as part of a team with a collaborative spirit
- Clearly communicate complex (and often abstract ideas)
- Proven experience in a design role, preferably within Design Studio, Branding Agency or Brand
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a range of brand, design, systems and animation work across various mediums, styles, and platforms
- Strategic and conceptual thinker with a creative mindset, an expert eye for design and a passion for storytelling
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a similar position at a design agency or in-house for a brand team
- Proficient in Photoshop / Illustrator / Figma / and Google Suite Working knowledge of AE and C4D is a plus
- Expert eye and taste for strategic design and premium craft
- Proven record of bringing brands to life through compelling visuals and storytelling
- Exhibit a strong and unique individual point of view
- Comfortable with undefined client asks, and able to bring creative solutions to the table
- Maintain high-quality standards across all creative output, reviewing work to ensure it meets client expectations and aligns with project objectives
