The Role
As a
Packaging & Branding Designer, you will live at the intersection of graphic design and product development. You aren’t just placing a logo; you are creating a world. You will develop 360° visual identities for new fragrance launches, designing everything from primary bottle labels and intricate secondary packaging to the patterns that define a season.
Key Responsibilities
- Packaging Design: Create compelling primary and secondary packaging for home fragrance (candles, soaps) and personal care (lotions, mists).
- Pattern & Illustration: Develop original patterns, textures, and illustrations that reflect seasonal trends and fragrance notes.
- Branding & Typography: Establish unique visual identities for sub-brands and limited-edition collections, ensuring a cohesive look across 100+ SKUs.
- Press & Finishes: Review production samples and provide feedback on specialty finishes (foil stamping, embossing, soft-touch coatings, and glass treatments).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure design aligns with business strategy and “shelf-appeal.”
Candidate Profile
We’re Looking For You If
- Experience: You have 3–6 years of experience in packaging design, specifically within Beauty, Home, or Fashion.
- The “Eye”: You have an obsession with typography and a sophisticated sense of color and layout.
- Trend Savvy: You have your finger on the pulse of home decor and fashion trends and can translate them into commercial designs.
- Technical Mastery: You are an expert in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop are your second languages).
- Agility: You thrive in a high-volume, “fast-fashion” style environment where timelines are tight and creativity is constant.
Nice To Have
- Experience in 3D rendering or CAD (to visualize bottle shapes).
- Strong hand-sketching or digital illustration skills.
