Role Description
The Social Media Manager is a strategic and creative powerhouse responsible for the digital voice of RTEAM and its diverse portfolio of festivals, venues, and partner projects. This role oversees the complete lifecycle of social media—from high-level content strategy and cross-brand ideation to daily implementation and community management. The Social Media Manager works closely with internal teams and external festival partners to ensure RTEAM’s brands are at the forefront of the music and events industry, driving ticket sales and vibrant online engagement.
1. Strategy, Ideation & Collaboration
- Content Strategy: Develop and oversee a comprehensive multi-platform content strategy for RTEAM and its network of internal and external event, venue and festival accounts.
- Ideation & Brainstorming: Lead creative ideation sessions to develop viral-worthy campaigns, interactive content, and unique digital experiences that set RTEAM festivals apart.
- Partner Network Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for festival partners, sponsors, and artist teams to coordinate collaborative posts, takeovers, and cross-promotional strategies.
- Brand Voice Maintenance: Define and maintain a distinct, authentic voice for each unique brand under the RTEAM umbrella, ensuring consistency in tone and visual aesthetic.
2. Content Planning & Implementation
- Master Calendar Management: Direct the master editorial calendar, ensuring a balanced flow of announcements, lifestyle content, sponsor highlights, and ticket-drive pushes.
- Strategy Implementation: Execute the end-to-end posting process, utilizing scheduling tools and native platform features to maximize reach (Instagram Reels, TikTok, X, Facebook, etc.).
- Performance Analytics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), using data to refine strategy and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
3. Community Engagement & Management
- Daily Interaction: Actively engage with the community by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions, fostering a positive and interactive environment.
- Customer Success Liaison: Monitor social channels for customer service issues, providing real-time answers to general questions and escalating complex ticketing or production issues to internal teams.
- Reputation Management: Identify and mitigate potential social media crises by escalating sensitive issues to the Event Technology Manager or CEO immediately.
4. Digital Outreach & Partnerships
- Influencer Strategy: Oversee the identification and management of digital influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify festival reach through coordinated campaigns and on-site activations.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and industry news to keep RTEAM’s content relevant and competitive.
Skills
- Advanced Social Strategy: Proven experience in building and scaling digital communities for festivals or entertainment brands.
- Creative Excellence: Expert eye for visual storytelling, video trends (Short-form video/Reels), and copywriting.
- Project Management: Ability to manage high-volume content flows for multiple accounts simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Interpersonal Communication: Skilled at collaborating with high-level stakeholders, artist managers, and corporate sponsors.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Later, Canva) and basic photo/video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Suite).
