Project Overview
I am looking to hire an experienced web designer and developer to rebuild my existing website from the ground up using a custom build. The current website is outdated and requires a full modernization in terms of design, structure, performance, and overall user experience.
This project is focused on creating a high-quality, scalable, and maintainable custom website that is modern, competitive, and built to last.
Project Scope
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing a modern, clean, and professional custom website
- Rebuilding the website from scratch (no templates or page builders)
- Updating and improving graphic design, layout, and visual identity
- Updating and organizing existing content and information
- Updating or sourcing photos and visual assets
- Creating a responsive, mobile-first design
- Implementing strong UX/UI best practices
- Ensuring performance, security, and scalability
- Implementing basic SEO and accessibility best practices
- Handling deployment and launch support
Technical Requirements
Experience with some or all of the following (or equivalent technologies):
- Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React / Vue / Next.js (or similar)
- Back-end: Node.js, Python, PHP, or other modern frameworks
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Version control (Git)
- Hosting, deployment, and production setup
Required Experience
- Proven experience building custom websites from scratch
- Strong portfolio showcasing modern, professional custom builds
- Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate effectively
- Attention to quality, maintainability, and detail
Deliverables
- Fully custom-built website
- Responsive, cross-browser compatible design
- Clean, well-documented source code
- Final deployment and launch support
- Full ownership of code and assets upon completion
Timeline
Flexible. No fixed deadline. Project milestones and schedule will be defined collaboratively after scope is finalized.
Budget
No preset budget. Open to proposals based on scope, technical approach, and experience level.
