Contract Opportunity: Proposal & Grant Writer (As-Needed / Immediate Project)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Proposal and Grant Writer to support proposal development on an as-needed basis, with an immediate, time-sensitive project currently underway. This initial project involves responding to a public-sector RFP for mental health services delivered via telehealth to K–12 schools.
While the current focus is a specific RFP, there is strong potential for ongoing proposal and grant work for the right candidate.
Ideal Background & Specialization
To be successful in this role, candidates should have direct experience writing proposals within one or more of the following areas:
- School-based health care or behavioral health services
- Mental health programs, including prevention, intervention, and treatment models
- Telehealth or virtual care delivery
- Education-sector, county, state, or government-issued RFPs
- Nonprofit or public-sector funding environments
Familiarity with compliance-driven proposals, outcome reporting, and program narratives tailored to schools or public agencies is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead writing and development of RFP responses and grant proposals
- Quickly review RFP requirements and develop compliant, compelling narratives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather program details and operational inputs
- Manage deadlines and revisions independently
- Adapt tone and content for education, healthcare, and government audiences
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success writing RFPs, RFQs, or grant applications
- Strong understanding of school-based or community-based health services
- Ability to work efficiently on accelerated timelines
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Experience working on a freelance or contract basis preferred
