As we expand our operations nationwide, we are looking for an experienced Grants Writer or Funding Specialist to help us identify and secure grants aligned with our mission.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled grant writer to support our funding efforts through research, application, and acquisition of federal, state, and utility-level grants. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to develop compelling proposals that fund our services in energy brokerage, bill pay programs, and clean energy adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and monitor grant opportunities (DOE, IL EPA, ComEd, etc.).
- Match funding opportunities with our service offerings.
- Draft persuasive and customized grant proposals.
- Assist with budgets, metrics, and required documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of all materials and applications.
- Provide regular updates on grant statuses and outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
- Must have experience with U.S. federal and state grant writing.
- Proven success securing grants in the energy, utility, or renewable energy sectors.
- Knowledge of DOE, SBIR/STTR, ARPA-E, GGRF, and Illinois-based energy funding programs.
- Excellent writing, research, and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and an effective communicator.
Compensation
This is a profit-sharing opportunity. You will receive 5% of the net profit from any grants you help successfully secure. Additional flat-rate compensation can be discussed based on scope and scale.
