About You
This role is for someone who thrives in a remote environment and is ready to own our content and communications strategy across brand, SEO, organic social, livestreams, and PR. You’ll define how we talk about Support Pets — our voice, messaging, positioning, and standards — and ensure everything we publish is clear, compliant, and compelling.
About the Role
You will lead copy creation across the business, building systems and reusable frameworks so content can scale efficiently with AI and collaborators.
Brand, Messaging & Compliance
- Own Support Pets’ brand voice, messaging framework, and communication standards across all channels.
- Maintain a strong working understanding of compliance requirements so copy is both compliant and effective.
- Translate complex topics into language that is compliant, human, and persuasive.
- Serve as the guardian and evolver of how we talk about Support Pets as the business grows.
Content & SEO Strategy
- Develop a content-led strategy that supports business goals across education, conversion, and brand building.
- Write and oversee high-quality articles designed to perform well in search, using provided SEO tools.
- Use keyword research and competitive analysis to inform topics and content structure.
- Create and maintain an ongoing plan for updating, expanding, and improving existing content.
Copy Ownership & Systems
- Own copy creation across the business, including website and landing pages, email and SMS, ads and video scripts, SEO content, social captions, livestream talking points, and PR/outreach messaging.
- Personally write key pieces of content while overseeing and editing work from others.
- Build repeatable systems, frameworks, and reusable copy blocks that can be repurposed across channels.
- Use AI and internal tools to scale copy creation efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
Content Calendar & Editorial Workflow
- Build and maintain a unified content calendar across SEO content, social, livestreams, and PR.
- Translate business priorities into monthly and quarterly themes, campaigns, and content initiatives.
- Own the editorial workflow from brief to draft to review to publish.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and contributors to ensure deadlines are met cleanly and consistently.
Social Content Direction & Team Collaboration
- Define the content strategy for organic social channels, including formats, themes, hooks, and cadence.
- Work with a social media team to execute day-to-day posting, scheduling, and community engagement.
- Ensure social content reflects brand voice, messaging standards, and compliance requirements.
- Review performance and adjust strategy based on what’s working.
Livestream Oversight
- Oversee livestream strategy, topics, and messaging.
- Work with livestream creators to develop outlines, talking points, and repurposing plans.
- Participate in livestreams directly or work with others to host and execute them.
Creator, UGC & Team Management
- Manage writers, social media team members, and other content hires.
- Source, vet, and hire UGC creators and freelance contributors.
- Write clear creative briefs and provide direct, actionable feedback to maintain brand consistency.
- Build and scale the content side of the team as the business grows.
PR & Outreach
- Own messaging and copy for PR, outreach, and reactive media opportunities.
- Support authority and backlink-building efforts through strong content and expert positioning.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders or partners as needed while maintaining messaging consistency.
What success looks like (first 60–90 days)
- Clear, documented brand voice, messaging framework, and communication standards.
- A content-led strategy aligned with business goals.
- A single, reliable content calendar covering SEO, social, livestreams, and PR.
- Repeatable systems for copy creation and reuse.
- Social and content teams executing with clarity and consistency.
- Early traction across content channels, including stronger consistency, improved performance, and a steady pipeline of high-quality content.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in content, communications, copywriting, or content marketing roles.
- Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to make complex topics clear, persuasive, and compliant.
- Solid understanding of how to write high-quality articles that perform well in search.
- Experience owning content calendars, workflows, and copy systems.
- Comfort using AI and internal tools to support ideation, drafting, and reuse of content.
- Experience working with or directing writers, social media teams, freelancers, or creators.
- Strong judgment and taste — you know what good looks like and can give clear, actionable feedback.

- Livestream or webinar planning experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
