Job Summary: The Assistant Director, Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to support the SCGA and SCGA Junior Golf Foundation’s brands, business objectives, and membership initiatives. This role collaborates with internal departments to plan and implement marketing programs, oversee brand management, and support advertising sales efforts. The Assistant Director, Marketing, also ensures consistency in messaging and branding across all communications and promotional materials.
What You’ll Do:
Marketing Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement marketing programs to support membership growth, retention, engagement, and development in collaboration with the Membership Development team.

Provide strategic marketing guidance, messaging development, and collateral design for all SCGA departments, including SCGA Junior Golf Foundation.

Support internal initiatives such as employee recruitment, retention programs, and volunteer engagement events.
Brand Management

Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all SCGA communications, events, and materials.

Manage a portfolio of creative assets, including imagery, logos, and key messaging for marketing initiatives.

Ensure proper brand application across all communications platforms, including print, digital, social media, and event materials.
Creative & Content Development

Oversee the production of marketing collateral, working with external vendors such as freelance designers and video teams to ensure brand consistency, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.

Provide branding support for organizational events and campaigns, including volunteer recognition programs, board meetings, and staff engagements.
Advertising & Partnerships

Manage the SCGA’s advertising and partnership program, developing integrated solutions that connect key brands with SCGA members.

Oversee pricing, asset development, and revenue tracking to ensure advertising and sponsorship goals are met.

Support the Regional Account Director with marketing and sales materials.
Team & Project Management

Supervise one team member responsible for department operations and program-specific support.

Manage special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Communications & Marketing.
What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university.

6-8 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role.

Proven ability to analyze data, problem-solve, and apply strategic thinking to marketing initiatives.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.

Ability to multi-task under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The starting salary for this position is $80,000.
