Role Description:
Mabaya Group is looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Writer to craft engaging and on-brand content for various social media platforms. The ideal candidate is skilled at writing compelling copy that drives engagement, brand awareness, and audience interaction. You should have experience with social media trends, platform best practices, and digital marketing strategies.
This is a remote contract role, but candidates must be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit engaging social media content for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Develop compelling captions, hashtags, and storytelling formats to drive audience engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency in messaging, tone, and style across all social media channels.
- Research and implement trending topics, hashtags, and industry insights to enhance content effectiveness.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and content strategists to align copy with visuals and campaign objectives.
- Analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements to optimize engagement and reach.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in social media writing, digital content creation, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and engagement strategies.
- Ability to write in a clear, engaging, and persuasive style tailored to different audiences.
- Experience using social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Candidates must be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing strategies, and content optimization.
- Experience with branded content, influencer collaborations, and paid social campaigns.
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) for content creation.

Compensation & Job Type:
- Freelance, Contract (Paid) – Compensation based on experience and project scope.
