Overview

We are looking for SAP Senior Learning Designer who will create and implement custom education programs that demonstrate knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and that incorporate best practice delivery techniques. This individual is responsible for building long-term relationships with our corporate clients and helping them discover the best solutions to their SAP training needs. This senior-level designer must have a creative vision with the ability to transform content into engaging, focused, and effective training solutions. Training solutions may also include performance support materials, classroom delivery, communication, multi-media elements and various delivery technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of training needs, skill gaps, compliance requirements, audience, and existing content
  • Establish measurable course goals and instructional objectives and map them to overall competencies at the course, curriculum, and qualification levels.
  • Gather course requirements, including creating a design document, timeline with deliverables, and other documentation (may include: corresponding assessment questions, course content outlines and/or storyboards, audio and video scripts, handbooks, performance support material) and designing appropriate themes and/or treatments for courses such as scenarios, simulations and activities.
  • Apply solid instructional design and adult learning theory to transform current long form, information-dense content or courses into engaging, interactive, and competency-driven learning.
  • Challenge the status quo and find innovative ways to approach training solutions; lead, influence, and push the envelope with new ideas and enhance overall efficiency, productivity, and performance.
  • Recommending training and non-training solutions, particularly connecting to performance support solutions, to improve retention and application of training.
  • Serve as a liaison between third-party vendors and clients in the development of training courses and programs.
  • Apply project management skills to coordinate SMEs, reviewers, and vendors to meet established timelines and budgets.
  • Contribute to establishing learning standards and templates for multiple methods of delivery, particularly for mobile and social solutions.
  • Review and test courses, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the understanding and use of multiple SAP and SuccessFactors HR modules including PA, OM, Travel Management, ESS, MSS, Time, Payroll, LMS, Applicant Tracking, and Onboarding
  • 6+ years of experience with major ERP systems (a minimum of 4 years experience with various modules of SAP)
  • Minimum seven (7) years related work experience with at least five (5) years as an instructional designer
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are a must
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to adapt to the needs of one's audience
  • Previous experience in storytelling and explaining complicated or technical concepts in a direct and accessible way
  • Very experienced with development tools, including Captivate 8, Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic audio/video/media production tools.
  • Experience implementing training evaluation processes, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • Experienced in process improvement and use of ADDIE and/or SAM frameworks
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile methodology in an e-learning development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education or similar field preferred.
