Moonlight Editorial is a small but growing content agency based in New York City. We are seeking a part time Junior Digital Designer to provide production support on our largest client account by creating digital assets such as templates and graphics and producing content in the client CMS.
This role is a unique opportunity for a marketing designer at the beginning of their career to gain valuable experience creating useful custom assets and producing web content for a global brand. They will play a core role in our media-style editorial process, engage directly with client’s systems, and gain insight into digital marketing best practices. While most of their work will be for this client, there is an opportunity to work on other creative projects for different clients and in-house marketing initiatives for the agency. This is a part time role expected to work 20 to 30 hours per week.
What you will do
- Production design (50%). This includes creating marketing assets such as templates and graphics, and laying copy into design to create downloadable content pieces.
- Publishing (50%). This involves producing articles in our client’s CMS. (Note: This work includes basic coding skills, which we will train you on).

Desired skills & experience
- 1-2 years of design and/or ops experience in a creative, media, publishing, or tech environment
- Basic knowledge of HTML/Javascript is highly desired but not required to start
- Proficieny in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign or Photoshop) as the main platform to create client assets
- Proficiency in Google docs, sheets, and drive
- Proficiency in project management tools like Airtable, Coda, ClickUp, Notion, Asana, etc is a plus
- Proficiency in Wordpress, Webflow, and other CMSes is a plus
- Proficiency in Keynote and/or Google Slides is a plus
Work environment
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two in-person working days at our co-working space in Manhattan with the rest of the New York team. This day will be determined as a group.
The Junior Digital Designer is expected to complete most of their work during our core working hours, which are from approximately 9am to 5pm Eastern, Monday to Friday. They may set their working schedule in partnership with their manager.
Physical Requirements:
- Based in greater New York City area
- Available to work in-person in Manhattan 1-2 days per week, at minimum
- Employee must regularly sit for prolonged periods of time over the course of an eight-hour day
- Employee must use hand and fingers or voice dictation to type
- Employee frequently communicates via phone or video and email and must be able to communicate using those methods
