Our client, a major global beauty brand, is currently seeking a Director, Global Design to join their team in NYC! The primary focus of this role is to deliver compelling strategic creative solutions and consumer experiences while developing a seamless, holistic consumer journey across the brand's digital ecosystem, including global websites, social platforms, and 360 digital programs. Balancing creativity with business impact, the Director, Global Design must be an innovative thinker and doer, with a strong understanding of how design drives business outcomes. This role requires hands-on design skills, the ability to multitask, and in-depth technical expertise to effectively lead and manage projects.
You Will:
- Help elevate the brand as a leader in all regions with innovative creative executions
- Support the SVP of Global Creative on the vision and ambitions of the brand
- Execute excellence in all 2D & Digital design work and maintain a consistent, cohesive language throughout all brand materials in order to meet the overall objective and strategy
- Lead and partner with cross-functional teams for all design initiatives
- Liaise with global consumer marketing, international management team, regional marketing and affiliates to understand local digital initiatives and help markets integrate at the local level
- Develop strategic global advertising campaigns across all platforms including digital media/display, mobile, social, video, out-of-home and in-store to create multi-channel awareness
You Have:
- 8+ years of experience with strong creative, visual design and digital expertise
- B.A. Degree in Design or comparable required
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with a focus in the beauty, luxury and consumer goods industry
- Innovative mindset to experiment with new concepts and approaches, ability to create creative solutions to difficult problems
- A keen understanding of new media and innovations in the creative and marketing ecosystem
- Global mindset, while understanding regional consumer trends and other regional nuances
- Experience in managing a creative team at an agency or brand
- Ability to source new vendors, technology and new platforms
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, oversee multiple projects, attention to detail and work well with cross functional teams
- Great communicator who can clearly and effectively communicate expectations and be relatable to a range of people spanning business to creative to technical disciplines

Contract: 5 months (maternity leave), 3 days a week
