Position Summary:
The Brand Designer is an experienced creative who can drive ideation, support creative direction, and execute the full-scope brand identities. This person will approach the creation of brand systems from a narrative approach. They will help develop and guide the conceptual vision and design to develop consistent and considered brand systems. This person is passionate about connecting the dots with brands, strategy and culture.
They can demonstrate an impactful creative approach and have proven experience with leading a strong design style on various platforms and client briefs. They will support the team’s innovation and workstreams by partnering with internal creatives to create innovative and forward thinking designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of brand identities from creative concepts to design direction and ultimately to final guidelines.
- Ability to create narrative through design, seamlessly connecting creative rationale with an overall brand story and tone.
- Scale creative direction, aesthetics, and design output across a variety of projects, brands, and mediums.
- Lead the development and direction of visual mood boards, brand tone/imagery, and style guides.
- Partner with Creative and Strategy to generate design systems with intention behind every creative choice
- Illustrate in a variety of styles to create brand assets, patterns or systems
- Synthesize a strategy, context and culture into visual systems
- Create brand language through logo design, typography, layout, color palette and iconography
- Build direction for art direction, image treatment and motion language to guide other partners
- Approach creative projects with an ability to flex different creative styles
- Partners with project team members to ensure deadlines are met and tasks completed.
- Maintains a high-level of technical and graphic design expertise in a variety of multimedia platforms.
Qualifications:
- A passion for telling through design with a narrative approach to the creative process .
- An interest in animation and ability to conceptualize motion graphics.
- Expert knowledge of creating dynamic brand systems.
- Knowledge of visual arts design, typography design, and production techniques.
- Knowledge of photography and photographic techniques.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with vendors, internal clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet established expectations and timelines.
- Strong experience in both visual and design direction, at a creative studio/agency.
- Ability to conceptualize and execute original visual designs into products and digital experiences.
- Collaborate with cross discipline Leads in creative strategy, production, tech and various levels of designers to help direct and define creative workstreams.
- Excellent communication, presentation and presentation design skills; must be able to articulate concepts, ideas and design approach to internal and external stakeholders.
- Skill using industry standard design and modeling tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects).
- Experience in 3D is a plus
