This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with a strong emphasis on producing engaging, story-driven content that brings our school, students, faculty, alumni, and creative community to life.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who understands how to capture attention, develop compelling narratives, and translate the energy of a film school into content that resonates across social media platforms. - Develop original content concepts, recurring social media series, and creative campaigns that make the school’s programs, people, and opportunities compelling to prospective students.
- Produce engaging short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, using strong hooks, narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling to capture and retain attention.
- Lead content production from ideation through execution, including scripting, interviewing, filming, photography, editing, and publishing.
- Identify and develop storytelling opportunities around student projects, behind-the-scenes moments, masterclasses, screenings, alumni success stories, and other school experiences.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, alumni, and freelance creatives, including videographers and editors, to develop high-quality, authentic content.
- Manage the school’s social media presence, editorial calendar, and content pipeline, ensuring consistent publishing and a cohesive brand voice.
- Monitor platform trends, audience behavior, and content performance to refine creative strategies and improve reach, engagement, and audience growth.
- Create and manage physical marketing materials, including flyers, banners, brochures, and event programs.
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to develop engaging email campaigns, promotional messaging, and recruitment content.

- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, nonprofits, community organizations, and industry-aligned businesses throughout the Bay Area.
- Represent the school at visits, events, presentations, and meetings across the region.
- Serve as the school’s primary point of contact for external community relationships and outreach initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to connect the school with local creatives, filmmakers, educators, and industry professionals.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, and community partners to develop content that highlights the school’s local impact and creative partnerships.
- Work with the admissions and marketing teams to develop, launch, and manage an annual Bay Area film festival for high school students.
- Identify opportunities to turn community partnerships, outreach activities, and student achievements into compelling stories that strengthen the school’s visibility and reputation.
3. Develop On-Campus Events & Creative Programming
- Develop, organize, and manage promotional campus events, including screenings, meetups, speaker sessions, open houses, masterclasses, and community celebrations.
- Coordinate event logistics, promotion, scheduling, and internal support to ensure successful execution.
- Develop promotional campaigns and social media content before, during, and after events to maximize attendance, extend their reach, and showcase the school’s creative community.
- Capture and produce event-related content, including interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, student reactions, highlights, and recap videos.
- Collaborate with faculty, students, and guest speakers to identify compelling stories and content opportunities around campus programming.
