Live Content Assistant, Sports Media (Contract, Remote, Part Time)

About the brand

We are a growing sports content brand on X and Discord. Our daily core content brings fans in. The next stage is more entertaining, personality driven content around live games that keeps fans around and brings them into our community.

This role is being posted confidentially. Brand details will be shared with shortlisted applicants during screening.

About the role

We are looking for a Live Content Assistant for a paid 2 week pilot. You will help create a much higher volume of short form sports content, especially during and around live games.

You will not be making picks. Picks come from our existing system. Your job is the content around the games: reactions, storylines, culture, entertainment, and community content that draws people to the page and keeps them there.

What you will do

- Draft a high volume of short form content for X and Discord during and around live games

- Spot moments as they happen, including big plays, storylines, trends, and fan culture moments, and turn them into drafts quickly

- Draft replies, live reactions, score and storyline updates, and entertaining non picks content

- Help develop repeatable entertainment formats and content ideas beyond our core daily content

- Adapt the same moment for X and for Discord in the voice of each platform

- Keep a simple log of drafts, posts, and what performed

- Week 1 is draft only, with training and review. Week 2 may include supervised live posting in a limited, approved lane if Week 1 goes well

Schedule

- About 15 hours per week for the 2 week pilot

- Shifts are variable and built around the sports calendar, scheduled in advance each week

- You must be available during live game windows, including evenings and some weekends, plus some daytime windows

- Target start: week of November 9, 2026, with flexibility into the following week

Pay and terms

- $200 per week, $400 total for the 2 week pilot, paid each Friday

- Plus commission on partner revenue directly attributed to content you create during the pilot, paid when the brand is paid

- This is a contractor role, not an employee role

- If the pilot goes well, it can convert into an ongoing monthly part time role

- Before any access is given, you will sign a short pilot agreement covering pay, confidentiality, and account ownership and security. All accounts and content remain the property of the brand, and account settings and content may not be deleted or changed outside the role

Important context

This brand partners with sportsbook and daily fantasy apps. Applicants must be comfortable working on content connected to those partners and following strict compliance rules, which will be covered in training.

Must have

- 21 years of age or older, no exceptions. This is required to legally access and use partner apps

- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, or a graduate of one. Current students are preferred

- Based in the United States and legally able to access and use partner sports apps where required

- Strong knowledge of NFL, NBA, CFB, CBB, and NHL

- A real feel for sports culture. You follow the storylines, the fan arguments, the memes, and how fans actually talk online, not just the scores

- Native fluency with X and Discord

- Comfortable with Canva and with social media scheduling tools, or able to learn them quickly

- Fast, clear short form writing and able to work relatively autonomously once trained

Nice to have

- You have played organized sports, or been close to a team in another way

- You have run or helped run a sports account, fan page, student media account, or team social account

- Experience creating short form sports content, graphics, clips, memes, or community posts

- Experience with fantasy sports or daily fantasy as a user

- Basic clip or graphic editing skills, for example CapCut or similar tools

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn only. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for a screening conversation, where brand details will be shared, and may be asked to complete a short sample draft exercise.
