About Us
Wick and Pour is an interactive candle-making studio with two locations in Manhattan. We host candle-making experiences, birthday parties, private events, and corporate workshops.
We're looking for a creative, social-media-savvy individual to help us capture and share what happens in our studios!
What You'll Do
- Visit our NYC studios approximately twice per month to capture content in batches.
- Create and publish 3 Instagram Reels per week, with content suitable for TikTok.
- Create and publish 2 additional Instagram feed posts per week, including photos or carousels.
- Handle filming, editing, captions, and scheduling.
- Capture customer experiences, candle-making processes, behind-the-scenes moments, and special events.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and bring fresh, creative content ideas.
- Help maintain a consistent posting schedule and cohesive brand aesthetic.
Who We're Looking For
- Someone with a good eye for filming and storytelling.
- Comfortable filming and editing short-form videos using an iPhone or camera.
- Familiar with Instagram Reels, TikTok, CapCut, or similar editing tools.
- Creative, organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Based in NYC and available for occasional in-person filming.
- Previous content creation experience is preferred, but we're open to newer creators with a strong portfolio.
Schedule & Compensation
This is an ongoing, flexible freelance opportunity with a monthly budget of $1,200–$1,500, depending on experience.
The role generally includes two on-site content sessions per month, with editing and publishing completed remotely. Filming dates will be coordinated in advance.
