Lake Hour is a premium spirits brand making vodka seltzers, tequila seltzers, and vodka iced teas inspired by good times at the lake. We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and agile Social Media Manager to bring that world to life through content, community, and creator partnerships.
You should know how to make nostalgia feel current—and how to be funny without sounding like a brand trying to be funny. You’ll capture Lake Hour’s distinct tone of voice: laid-back, irreverent, a little unexpected, and rooted in a nostalgic point of view.
What you’ll do
- Own social strategy and execution: Develop a content calendar that connects brand storytelling, product launches, events, and cultural moments.
- Create and publish content: Write captions, develop concepts, and capture and edit content that feels native to each platform and distinctly Lake Hour.
- Manage our community: Stay active in comments, DMs, and relevant conversations, building relationships with fans and responding with personality, care, and consistency.
- Manage influencer relationships: Discover and vet creators, coordinate outreach, gifting and paid partnerships, develop briefs, track deliverables, and manage follow-ups and content usage rights.
- Keep us culturally relevant: Identify trends and opportunities that fit the brand, with the judgment to know when to jump in and when to sit one out.
- Collaborate across the team: Work with marketing, design, sales, and brand ambassadors to turn what’s happening across Lake Hour into compelling social content.
- Measure and improve: Track performance across content, community, and creator partnerships, and use those insights to refine the approach.
What you bring
- Experience managing social media for a consumer or lifestyle brand, including hands-on community and influencer management.
- A strong instinct for brand voice, sharp copywriting, and a sense of humor that translates into content.
- The ability to balance a nostalgic aesthetic and perspective with current culture, irreverence, and humor.
- Strategic thinking paired with the creativity and initiative to turn ideas into finished work.
- Agility: you’re comfortable adjusting plans, acting on timely opportunities, and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through, especially when coordinating creators, deadlines, and feedback.
- Confidence capturing and editing short-form content, with a strong eye for visuals and storytelling.
How to apply
Please submit your résumé, portfolio, and a required cover letter to jobs@lakehour.com
Your portfolio should include relevant social content, copywriting, and examples of community or influencer programs you’ve managed. Briefly explain your role in the work and share results where available.
Use your cover letter to tell us why Lake Hour, how you’d approach our voice, and what you’d bring to the role. We want a feel for your thinking—and your personality.
