Kanak Naturals is seeking an experienced CAD Designer with strong SolidWorks expertise to support the design and development of new products. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term opportunities based on project needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Design and modify food packaging and single-use dinnerware products
- Collaborate with operations and engineering, teams to develop practical design solutions
- Produce accurate BOMs and technical documentation
- Incorporate design revisions and support manufacturing implementation
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and production requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience using SolidWorks in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards
- Experience creating fabrication, assembly, and detail drawings
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing equipment for food packaging or related manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with molded fiber products.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
