We are seeking a creative, reliable, and self-motivated Social Media Marketing Specialist to help grow our business through engaging and professional social media content. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, creating, scheduling, and managing social media content that increases brand awareness, encourages audience engagement, and generates new client leads.
This position is ideal for someone who understands social media trends, enjoys creating engaging content, and can independently manage a social media presence with minimal supervision.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can take an idea such as "We need a post about the upcoming tax deadline" and independently turn it into an attractive graphic or video, an engaging caption, an appropriate call-to-action, and a scheduled social media post.
The ideal person is creative, dependable, proactive, comfortable with technology, and understands how to turn social media attention into actual business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a social media content strategy consistent with the company's brand and marketing goals.
- Create engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Develop a monthly content calendar and submit content for approval when appropriate.
- Create posts, graphics, short-form videos, reels, stories, and other social media content.
- Write engaging captions, headlines, calls-to-action, and promotional copy.
- Research relevant industry topics, seasonal opportunities, holidays, and trending social media topics.
- Repurpose existing content into multiple social media formats.
- Schedule and publish posts consistently according to the agreed-upon content calendar.
- Monitor comments, messages, and engagement and bring important inquiries or potential client leads to management's attention.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas and strategies.
- Maintain a professional and consistent brand image across all social media platforms.
- Track basic performance metrics such as reach, engagement, followers, website traffic, and leads.
- Provide periodic reports or updates regarding social media performance.
- Make recommendations for improving engagement and lead generation based on performance.
- Coordinate with management to promote special offers, important deadlines, community involvement, events, and other business activities.
- Ensure all content is professional, accurate, appropriate for the company's audience, and compliant with applicable advertising and industry requirements.
