**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Freelance Writer to create engaging and well-researched content for various clients. As a Freelance Writer, you will be responsible for crafting compelling articles, blog posts, and other written materials that meet the needs of our readers. If you have a passion for writing, sports and a keen eye for detail, this opportunity is for you.
**Duties:**
- Write high-quality content on high school sports, including technical subjects, news, and creative pieces
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information and insights for articles
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and style consistency
- Follow established style guides, such as the AP Style, and adhere to technical writing standards
- Meet deadlines and work independently to deliver projects on time
- Collaborate with clients to understand their content needs and preferences
- Use word processing software to prepare and submit manuscripts
- Perform fact-checking and verify information to ensure accuracy and credibility
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in creative writing, copy editing, and proofreading
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with word processing software
- Ability to write in various styles and formats
