Job Overview
I'm an independent grant writer working with several clients and seek a skilled Grant Writer to assist with my workload. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing grant applications utilizing previous grant proposals and boilerplate pages, searching for relevant stats to strengthen proposals, and editing work for grammar mistakes to ensure a well-written, flowing, and high-quality proposal. Candidates may also be asked to take on research projects. Work will be project-based, with a $225.00 budget per 4-5 hour project OR hourly-based. Each project will have a 3 to 4-day turnaround time. Up to 2 projects per week will be assigned. Basic training will be provided. The position is temporary and will take place through September, October, and November with a possible extension for additional work based on client demands and your capacity.
Duties
- Write and edit high-quality grant proposals
- Look up statistics and quotes to strengthen proposal
-Utilize Instrumentl to research potential grant opportunities
- Complete work within the deadline provided per each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in grant writing and management
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with housing grants a plus
- Familiarity with supportive housing services grants for low-income families a plus
- Familiarity with Instrumentl, or similar fundraising software is a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $40.00 per hour
