We are looking for a Visual Designer to join a collaborative media and communications team in Los Angeles, California. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for a creative individual who can translate ideas into effective digital and print materials that strengthen brand presence and support marketing goals. The role focuses heavily on web design, responsive digital content, and visually engaging assets that perform well across desktop and mobile experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Develop branded website pages, landing pages, and digital design components that support outreach and campaign objectives.
• Create mobile-friendly layouts and visual content that deliver a consistent experience across screen sizes and devices.
• Partner with marketing, admissions, and communications stakeholders to refine site presentation, improve navigation, and elevate overall usability.
• Use UX/UI design practices to produce intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences that encourage audience interaction.
• Prepare web-ready graphics and visual assets with attention to load performance, formatting, and accessibility standards.
• Design a broad range of creative materials such as social media visuals, online advertisements, logos, brochures, posters, signage, merchandise, presentations, and other branded collateral.
• Maintain visual consistency across digital and print projects by applying established brand guidelines throughout all deliverables.
• Detail-oriented experience creating visual designs for websites, landing pages, and digital marketing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of responsive design methods and mobile-first execution for modern web experiences.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize images and digital assets for web performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Familiarity with content management systems and a foundational understanding of web technologies related to site design and updates.
• Knowledge of UX/UI concepts, including user-centered design approaches, wireframing, and prototyping, is preferred.
• Portfolio showcasing both digital and print work, with examples of website, landing page, or interface design projects.
• Solid graphic design skills with the ability to balance creativity, brand consistency, and functional design needs.
